i really enjoyed the cheap food. it was cheap, big size and in the bedroom downstairs. the location was magnificent, at a medium distance from medina of essaouira. you could walk to shops and a bakery.

The room was well-maintained and beautiful, and I had a wonderful night's sleep in the downstairs bedroom; I also loved that breakfast was provided.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they helped us out with nearly every question/problem we had. There is free wifi in the riad so we could use our phones to get online. The terrace is a great place to chill out if you want to stay in, and breakfast was included in the room rate too (jam was delicious!). The guys running this place are very thoughtful though, music is turned off around 9pm so you can sleep early without noise (it echoes a lot in the riad) and even in the mornings, people are considerate to not make too much noise. We only booked for 2 nights, we ended up staying for 4 :-)
The bathroom in the room we stayed in smelt bad, I don't think the sewage systems are good at all. We bought some incense sticks though to cover up the smell

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the medina, making it the perfect starting point to explore all that Essaouira has to offer. The location is prime, with the harbor and beach just a short walk away. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The basic amenities, like twin beds and a small safe, were all provided, and the room had a unique design that added to its charm. The breakfast may be limited, but it is well presented and satisfying, with a small selection of breads, pastries, and freshly squeezed orange juice.
All was great, no improvements needed.

Very nice B&B. Rooms are very clean. Very quiet rooms as all windows are oriented to the middle of the riad. You can barely hear the prayers from the mosque. Furnished in "old" Arabic fashion style. Free wifi in the main area of the riad.
Only sweet breakfast! (jam & butter)

The location was good, close to the market and the beach. Nice, comfortable Morrocan style rooms in a quiet location. Friendly, helpful staff.

The friendly staff at Riad Chakir made my stay enjoyable. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and made me feel welcome. The traditional riad design and bustling market nearby added to the authentic Moroccan experience. Despite a few minor inconveniences, I would recommend this hotel to others.

Greate location, good brekfast, nice roof tarrace, clean room.
Be careful, many room don't have window, and bathroom is without wall (in room!). Staff layed us then didn't have room with window. But they have.

The staff was very nice. When we tried to speak in French, they offered us to speak in English. Breakfast was lovely. Riad is spacious and beautiful.
The rest room and breakfast room is is close to each other which is close to the entrance as well. The breeze is going through all the time. Windows in my room were difficult to close and outside the window was a wooden sun cover that was banging the window every time by a bigger breeze.

I loved my stay at this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. They offered a great continental breakfast every morning and were always willing to offer recommendations for nearby attractions. The location was perfect, situated down an alley in the middle of the medina, making it easy to get to all of the nearby shops and restaurants. this hotel had excellent facilities and was impeccably clean.
Can't fault the hotel in any way - highly recommend!
